Reported Haunting
Visitors to Downing Park have reported seeing the apparition of a young boy near the lake and walking paths. Other reports include mysterious voices and an unusual feeling of being watched after dark.
A little boy’s ghost has been seen sitting by Downing Park’s lake, crying. Locals say he drowned here long ago. He also has been known to make bubbles in the water and scream when a child gets too close to the water’s edge.
