Reported Haunting
The Rosewood Hotel is said to be haunted by at least three spirits. An elderly woman in a black dress has reportedly been seen floating along the verandah, while the gentle voice of a soldier said to have been shot in the building has also been heard. Staff have nicknamed another reported spirit, a Scottish man, "Rusty." Guests have also described unexplained dripping water, a piano playing by itself, and mysterious lights or orbs.
This historic Queensland hotel has accumulated reports of several distinct apparitions and unexplained phenomena, including ghostly voices, self-playing music, mysterious water, and unusual lights.
