The historic El Cortez Hotel has earned a reputation for ghostly encounters dating back to its early years. Guests and employees have reported apparitions, phantom footsteps, unexplained voices, and objects moving without explanation. Several spirits are believed to remain connected to the hotel's colorful past.
This building once was residence to homeless people and drug addicts; it is said that several deaths have occurred here. A ghostly little boy and a woman (believed to be his mother) have both been seen here.
