The former Elizabeth V. Edwards School has become the subject of local ghost stories involving apparitions, children's voices, and unexplained sounds within the historic building.
Elizabeth V. Edwards School, established in 1930 and closed in 2004, is rumored to have a ghost that sets off security systems, makes calls to phones that are not in service, and turns on lights in unoccupied buildings. The identity of the spirit is unknown for sure, but one report mentions a custodian who died from a heart attack in the basement in the 1970s.
