The Elms Hotel and Spa is one of Missouri's most famous haunted hotels. Guests have reported apparitions, phantom piano music, unexplained footsteps, and mysterious voices throughout the historic property. Numerous paranormal investigations have documented unusual activity connected to the hotel's long history.
On the hotel’s third floor, a twenty-something woman in a maid’s outfit is said to supervise the living housekeepers, making sure their work is done correctly.
