THE STORY
Reported Haunting
A Ghost Atlas contributor reported a vanishing male apparition on a staircase, an unexplained touch in the basement, and banners moving without an apparent cause. This is an unverified firsthand account.
Firsthand account submitted directly to Ghost Atlas: a visitor reported seeing a man walking up a staircase inside the Missouri History Museum who then appeared to vanish. The same account described someone being touched by an unseen presence in the basement and banners moving without an obvious cause. These experiences are preserved as a firsthand witness account and have not been independently verified or established as part of a broader documented haunting tradition at the museum.
