Reported Haunting
The Fireside Motel, once reportedly used as a speakeasy, has a long history of unexplained noises and other strange disturbances. Local lore attributes the activity to Native American burials said to have been disturbed beneath the property, with unusual sounds reportedly occurring there since at least the mid-20th century.
Once a speakeasy, the Fireside has had a long history of strange activity, leading to a seance. It is believed that all disturbances within the motel are attributed to Miwok Indians that were buried underneath the site and have been disturbed. Unaccountable sounds have been reported since the mid-1950’s when two skeletons were first discovered under the floorboards.
