THE STORY

Reported Haunting

A local legend claims that two cemetery statues come to life and kiss each night after the grounds close. Visitors have also reported unexplained lights and strange sensations near the monument.

Legend has it that at night at this cemetery, two statues awaken and kiss. So the story goes, if you shine car bright headlights on the man and woman statues from the driveway that runs behind them, they will come to life, turn around, and kiss. Another point of note is that singer The Big Bopper, famous for his tune “Chantilly Lace,” is buried here.
