THE STORY

Reported Haunting

The Forest Queen Hotel is said to be haunted by a woman named Elizabeth, who according to local legend was abandoned by a gambler after giving him her life savings and later took her own life. Her restless spirit is blamed for doors slamming on their own, pots and pans banging, and other unexplained disturbances inside the historic hotel.

Forest Queen Hotel has a ghost named Elizabeth who stayed here long ago. According to local lore, she fell in love with a shady gambler and gave him her life’s savings, after which he skipped town, leaving her broke.
