Reported Haunting
The Fort Brooke Parking Garage was constructed on land associated with an old military cemetery, and human remains were reportedly uncovered and relocated during development of the site. Visitors have since reported apparitions, unexplained footsteps, voices, and other strange activity believed by some to be connected to those once buried beneath the property.
Built in 1980, this municipal parking garage was built over a cemetery. The bones unearthed during the construction were deemed to be the remains of soldiers and Native Americans. Although the bones were removed and properly placed, some say they have heard the ghostly sounds of Native Americans drumming and chanting, and strange shadow figures have been witnessed in the structure.
