Lake Eola is associated with the legend of a friendly ghost dog, usually described as a small brown terrier seen playing along the lake's eastern shore. Witnesses say the energetic animal approaches people as if looking for attention, only to suddenly vanish into thin air.
There are reports of a “phantom dog” roaming the eastern portion of Lake Eola Park. People will clearly see the small, brown dog walking the park, like any other dog, until he disappears right in front of their eyes.
