THE STORY
Reported Haunting
The Ghost Lady of West 7th Street is a well-known Port Arthur legend involving the apparition of a woman dressed in white. Drivers and pedestrians have reported seeing her appear suddenly near the railroad crossing before vanishing without explanation. The location remains one of southeast Texas's enduring ghost stories.
It is said that one night, a woman was decapitated here as she was trying to cross the train’s path while it was stopped. Folks say her ghost can be seen walking down the tracks.
