Gray's Armoury Museum has accumulated stories of unexplained footsteps, shadow figures, and mysterious noises believed to be connected to its long military history.
The five story castle-like armory was built in 1893. People hear disembodied footsteps on the upper floors and on the grand staircase. Ghostly apparitions of men dressed in old-fashioned military uniform have been seen throughout the building, but vanish when approached.
