THE STORY
Reported Haunting
Employees at this historic jazz club and former mob hangout report objects moving inside its Prohibition-era tunnels, unexplained cold spots, strange noises, and the sound of a piano playing when no one is inside.
The Green Mill Cocktail Lounge was once associated with Al Capone and his lieutenant Jack “Machine Gun” McGurn. Underground tunnels were reportedly used to move illegal alcohol and provide discreet passage during Prohibition. Employees entering the tunnels have described misplaced or moving objects, cold spots, and unexplained noises. Workers arriving before opening have also reported hearing the piano playing, only for the music to stop as soon as they enter the building.
