Ghost stories have surrounded the Grove Theatre since the 1950s. Employees and performers have reported unexplained footsteps, shadow figures, and unusual backstage activity.
Ghost stories at the theater are reported to date back to the 1950s. A theater owner has reported that something she calls Charlie exists here–although she doesn’t believe in ghosts. A sign once flew across the room, mugs have flown through the air and shattered on the wall, and the items on a storage rack are spilled onto the floor.
