This historic manor is associated with several apparitions, including mysterious male figures dressed in green and black. Other local accounts describe phantom footsteps and unexplained sounds within the centuries-old building, adding to its reputation as one of Bolton's haunted historic houses.
A man in green and a man in black are the primary ghosts people have witnessed. A woman has been seen in the kitchen, and one of the former owners, Mary, is thought to be here, too, and another ghost, named Betty, targets children and yells at them.
