THE STORY

Reported Haunting

The former Anamori Inari shrine gate became the center of a persistent curse legend after stories claimed attempts to remove it were followed by accidents and misfortune.

The large red torii once belonged to Anamori Inari Shrine before the area was taken over during the postwar expansion of Haneda Airport. Stories later claimed that attempts to remove or destroy the gate were accompanied by unusual accidents, giving rise to a well-known curse legend. The torii was successfully relocated in 1999 and remains standing near the airport.
