THE STORY

Reported Haunting

The Haskell House is said to be haunted by U.S. Senator David C. Broderick, who was mortally wounded in an 1859 duel fought nearby and was taken to the house, where he died several days later. Witnesses have reported seeing a ghostly man in a top hat walking around the property, along with other unexplained activity.

This is the location where senator David Broderick was shot and killed in a duel back in 1857. Broderick is said to have not moved on and is known for pacing back and forth or reported as a shadow.
