Formerly Mountain Muffin Restaurant, the Highline Cafe and Saloon building was an ice cream parlor in the 1900s. Its back room is rumored to have been the setting for a hanging suicide long ago. So the story goes, a man killed another man over a love triangle, and then hanged himself in the building’s back room. In the past, witnesses have noticed that lights and appliances go on and off on their own, and cash registers open without provocation.
