THE STORY

Reported Haunting

Hill Park Cemetery is associated with reports of apparitions, unexplained lights, and mysterious voices after dark. Visitors have described shadow figures moving among the graves and sudden cold spots throughout the cemetery. Local legends have given the cemetery a longstanding haunted reputation.

Hill Park Cemetery is known for containing the burial site of Frank James, the older brother of outlaw Jesse James. His wife Ann Ralston James is buried here as well. Witnesses say a glowing, misty figure appears here, walking over the hill at night. Ghostly Civil War soldiers are said to show up here from time to time as well.
