The historic Netherland Plaza Hotel is famous for reports of a mysterious Lady in Green, phantom figures, and unexplained encounters throughout the building.
A ghostly Lady in Green walks the Hall of Mirrors and the mezzanine. She was seen often by construction workers in 1983, while the hotel was undergoing renovations. Legend has it that she was the wife of a worker who was killed during the hotel’s construction in 1930. So the story goes, the body of her husband was never recovered, and she ghost searches for him endlessly. Perhaps seeing the 1983 construction workers awoke her spirit in hopes that one of them would be her lost husband?
