The abandoned religious attraction developed an eerie reputation during the decades it sat largely deserted, with visitors reporting strange sounds, shadowy figures, and the unsettling sensation of being followed. Some explorers also claimed to become disoriented or unable to find their way out of the overgrown property.
People have been known to become trapped, and unable to find their way out. Voices can be heard after sun set, and there have even been a few deaths within Holy Land.
