Reported Haunting
The old Hopewell Church Cemetery remains even though the church it once served is gone, and visitors have reported unusual activity around the isolated graves. Accounts include unexplained sounds, strange lights, and the sensation of an unseen presence while exploring the cemetery.
Although its called the “Hopewell Church Cemetery”, no church stands here anymore. And don’t confuse it with the American Legion Cemetery just next door. The one you want is surrounded by an old brick wall and has two wrought-iron gates at either end. The caretaker of the place has heard a woman’s plaintive cries emanating from the cemetery in the evening hours.
