THE STORY

Reported Haunting

Room 309 is famously associated with the ghost of Roger Whittaker, a gambler who according to legend was killed after being caught cheating at cards. Guests have reported flickering lights, unexplained drafts, rattling furniture, and other disturbances attributed to his restless spirit.

Room 309 is allegedly haunted by a ghost they call Roger Whitaker. Although the hotel has been relocated, and it is not claimed that “Roger” actually died in the hotel or in that room, people claim there is an unearthly presence that causes the wardrobe doors to open of their own accord, and strange noises and items being moved. People claim if you leave out a deck of cards and leave the room, the cards will often be disturbed when you return.
