The historic Hotel Blanche has been associated with reports of unexplained footsteps, voices, and apparitions within the old building. Local ghost stories suggest that former guests or employees may still linger there, adding a paranormal dimension to a hotel once frequented by figures such as Al Capone.
Gangster Al Capone was among the guests to stay at this one-time luxury hotel. These days, it is inhabited by businesses on the ground floor and office space on the second, but the third floor remains empty–except for the hotel’s haunts. Witnesses here have described disembodied footsteps and voices, the sounds of kids playing, and doors that open and close by themselves. Reports say the hotel may be on the verge of a restoration.
