THE STORY
Reported Haunting
Hotel Lenhart is famous for reports of the ghost known as the Lady in Blue, who is frequently seen in the hotel's hallways. Guests have also described phantom footsteps, unexplained voices, and doors opening on their own during the night. The historic lakeside hotel remains one of western New York's best-known haunted inns.
Hotel Lenhart, which dates back to 1880s, was rebuilt in 1890 after a fire and partially restored again in 1941, after another fire. An unknown haunt is said to reside in the building, opening and closing doors and tugging at the hair of visitors.
