Hurricane Patty's has been associated with reports of unexplained paranormal activity experienced by employees and visitors. The restaurant's ghost stories became prominent enough to be featured on the television series My Ghost Story, where witnesses recounted unusual encounters attributed to spirits on the property.
This restaurant was featured in Biography Channel’s series, “My Ghost Story” – season 2, episode 3. The segment was entitled “Restless Restroom.” Most of the activity here centers on the kitchen and bathrooms. The sounds of a crying woman are heard from the bathrooms, and the facilities will often flush or turn on and off by themselves.
