THE STORY

Reported Haunting

Guests at this Victorian inn have reported apparitions, mysterious footsteps, and unexplained activity believed to be connected to former owners of the historic property.

This historic Victorian estate is said to be haunted by original builder Mr. Coleman’s daughter, Anne. She committed suicide by laudanum poisoning in 1819, rather than go on without her love, whom her father refused to allow her to marry. Her apparition has been seen extinguishing candles, opening or closing doors and windows, and rearranging pillows on the guests’ beds.
