THE STORY
Reported Haunting
The Inn at Carnall Hall is associated with reports of paranormal activity connected to the building's former life as a women's dormitory. Guests have described apparitions, unexplained footsteps, mysterious voices, and objects moving without explanation. The historic inn has become one of Fayetteville's notable haunted locations.
Originially built in 1905 as a women’s dorm, the building now houses a 50-room hotel and Ella’s French restaurant. Witnesses here have seen the floating apparition of a woman in a gown, without a head or feet, and indentations on the bed as if someone were sitting on it. Other phenomena noted here include photos that show reflections of ghosts in furniture and lights that turn on by themselves.
