Reported Haunting

The town of Hampton was the site of a major 1600s witch hunt, and Goodwife Eunice Cole was accused of the crime.

The town of Hampton was the site of a major 1600s witch hunt, and Goodwife Eunice Cole was accused of the crime. She is said to have cursed a group of sailors who taunted her. When a sudden storm blew up and the sailors vanished, Goody Cole was convicted of witchcraft and forced to pay a fine. After she died a few years later, her body was disinterred so townsfolk could drive a stake through her heart. Ever since, reports say Goody Cole’s ghost haunts the residents of Island Path Road. Folks see apparitions, flickering lights, objects that move around, and mysterious vanishing of neighborhood cats.
