Reported Haunting
The historic James McCabe Theatre has been associated with enough reported paranormal activity that ghost tours and investigations have reportedly been held there as fundraisers. Visitors and investigators have described unexplained sounds and other unusual occurrences within the former school building.
Reports say that paranormal groups have offered ghost tours as fund-raisers here. The 1915 building, once the Valrico Civic Center and then a woman’s club, is rumored to have more than a few haunts. Witnesses have seen apparitions and heard strange sounds, and experienced other odd occurrences.
