THE STORY
Reported Haunting
Cherokee tradition connects the petroglyph-covered rock with Tsul'Kalu (Judaculla), a powerful supernatural figure. The site should be approached as an important cultural place, not merely a ghost-hunting location.
Judaculla Rock is a major Cherokee cultural and archaeological site covered with ancient petroglyphs. Cherokee tradition associates the stone with Tsul'Kalu, or Judaculla, a powerful supernatural being. Later visitors have added ghost stories to the site, but the culturally significant Cherokee tradition is the core reason for inclusion.
