Visitors to Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse have reported unexplained noises, cold spots, phantom footsteps and the sensation of unseen hands touching their shoulders.
Completed in 1860, the red-brick Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse overlooks the meeting of the Loxahatchee River, Indian River Lagoon and Jupiter Inlet. Paranormal reports include unexplained noises, sudden cold spots and the sensation of invisible hands touching or resting on visitors' shoulders. More recent visitor accounts also describe phantom footsteps following people on the lighthouse stairs.
