Reported Haunting
The historic Kearney Mansion and its surrounding grounds are associated with reports of apparitions, unexplained footsteps, and other unusual activity. Ghost stories also extend to the nearby railroad tracks, where witnesses have described strange sights and sounds believed to be connected to the area's past.
The mansion and the nearby railroad tracks are said to be haunted. The Kearney Witch is said to show up if you cross the tracks at night, wearing all white and begging cars to stop. And at Kearney Park, the laughter of children has been heard at 1:30 a.m.
