Reported Haunting
The historic Lakeside Inn is said to be home to several spirits, with guests and employees reporting apparitions, unexplained footsteps, voices, and doors that seemingly move on their own. The paranormal activity is often attributed to former guests and residents connected with the inn during its long history dating back to the 19th century.
Several ghosts are said to reside in the charming Lakeside Inn, which was built in 1883. Two of the inn’s ghosts are young girls from the 1890s to 1920s. One is about 9 who wears a frilly red dress. She is believed to be Amy, a little girl who disappeared from the inn in 1892. The other is a girl around 12 who wears a blue dress and is often seen in the dining room. She may even move the chandeliers and chairs. Also seen at the inn are the apparitions of a man in a top hat and a gangster in a fedora.
