THE STORY

Reported Haunting

Local legend tells of a mysterious ghost bird associated with the former site of Lincoln's Inn, which once stood somewhere in this area. Witnesses have reportedly heard or encountered the unexplained bird near the historic site, with the strange phenomenon becoming part of the area's local folklore.

Somewhere around this area once stood Lincoln’s Inn. The offices of here were terrified of a presence that was thought to be a ghost bird; a young man had apparently been murdered in here for explanation while another hung himself inside of the same room. What they both had in common was a set of scratch marks that hadn’t been seen before. Two newspaper editors locked themselves in the room in hopes of encountering it, and sure enough, they did. They said the door swung open and heard a flapping noise; the lights turned off and all they could see was a strange entity flying above them trying to attack. When the lights turned back on, claw marks were found on the ground. Lincoln’s Inn has since been demolished and the ghost bird was said to vanish with it.
