THE STORY
Reported Haunting
The Lonesome Dove Inn is associated with reports of paranormal activity experienced by guests and employees. Witnesses have described apparitions, phantom footsteps, mysterious voices, and objects moving without explanation throughout the historic inn. The building has earned a local haunted reputation.
Formerly a hospital, the 1927 bed and breakfast inn is named after a prize-winning novel written by a famous local author. The place is rumoured to be haunted by a number of spirits, including a playful male presence and a ghostly nurse forever tending to her patients. In the Desert Rose Room, a visitor was once kicked by an invisible foot, and a family staying in the Cadillac Jack Room were told to leave by a man they couldn’t see.
