THE STORY
Reported Haunting
The Longstreet Theatre is associated with reports of ghostly activity experienced by actors and stage crews. Witnesses have described phantom footsteps, unexplained voices, shadow figures, and strange noises coming from the stage after performances. The historic theater has become one of Columbia's notable haunted venues.
Longstreet Theatre was once a Civil War hospital, and rumor has it that the room that serves as the green room is the former morgue. Cold spots, uneasy feelings, apparitions and strange noises have been reported in the area.
