Reported Haunting
The Lumber Baron Inn is one of Denver's most famous haunted bed and breakfasts. Guests have reported apparitions, phantom footsteps, mysterious voices, and objects moving on their own, with many stories centered on two young women who were murdered nearby. Paranormal investigators frequently document unusual activity throughout the Victorian mansion.
The building was apartments in the 1970s, and during that time, a 17-year-old runaway girl and her friend allegedly were murdered here. Footsteps have been heard, and the apparition of a 1920s-era flapper girl also has been seen here.
