Reported Haunting
The Mansion House Inn is one of Buffalo's historic hotels and is associated with reports of paranormal activity. Guests have reported apparitions, phantom footsteps, mysterious voices, and objects moving without explanation throughout the building. Several spirits are believed to remain connected to the hotel's long history.
This 1903 mansion was built for a retired army surgeon and his wife, and has been operating as an inn since the mid-twentieth century. Reports of various strange occurrences suggest a poltergeist may be haunting the establishment, such as doors slamming shut, keys being turned in locks by unseen hands and unexplained pounding noises on doors during the early hours of morning.
