Reported Haunting
Legend says the spirit of Oshizu floods the castle moat every April after a promise to make her son a samurai was broken.
According to legend, in 1576 a widow named Oshizu agreed to become a hitobashira, or human pillar sacrifice, on the condition that her son would be made a samurai by the local lord. The lord was later transferred and the promise was not fulfilled. The source states that Oshizu then flooded the castle moat every April.
