The defunct Mountain Brew Cafe in Arden, North Carolina, is allegedly haunted by the restless spirit of a woman who was murdered on the property years prior. Former employees and visitors have frequently reported hearing heavy footsteps and various unexplainable human sounds coming from the building's vacant second floor. Though the cafe has permanently closed its doors, the structure still stands along Sweeten Creek Road and retains its eerie reputation in local ghost lore.
