The Museum of the Holy Souls in Purgatory displays objects said to have been marked by spirits seeking prayers from the living. Burned handprints, fingerprints, and silhouettes appear on books, clothing, and other belongings preserved behind glass. Believers regard the marks as physical evidence of souls temporarily trapped in purgatory.
The Museum of the Holy Souls in Purgatory is housed within the Church of the Sacred Heart of Suffrage. Amy's Crypt describes a collection of objects and photographs believed to show physical marks left by souls in purgatory. These include apparent handprints burned into clothing, books and other objects, as well as an image of a face said to have appeared during a church fire.
