Reported Haunting
A phantom harpist, a drowned man, the Grey Lady and the spirits of children are among the many apparitions reportedly haunting the mansion and its grounds.
Nanteos Mansion is associated with numerous reported spirits. In the nearby forest, phantom harp music is attributed to the ghost of Gruffydd Evans. Near the lake, the apparition of David Rowland, who drowned in 1899, is reportedly seen waving his arms as though herding animals. Inside the mansion, witnesses have described the Grey Lady on the staircase, a sad young boy in the stables, a young girl and other unidentified apparitions. Unexplained footsteps and voices are also reported throughout the property.
