Reported Haunting
New London Ledge Lighthouse stands at the entrance to New London Harbor and is famously haunted by the ghost known as Ernie. Lighthouse keepers reported doors opening by themselves, phantom footsteps, mysterious voices, and other unexplained activity attributed to the playful spirit. It remains one of New England's most celebrated haunted lighthouses.
