Reported Haunting
The former Old Broadway Food and Spirits / Mainstreet Brewery building in Alexandria, Minnesota—which functioned as a funeral home in 1926 before it was later demolished—was famously rumored to be haunted by a resident spirit named Martha. Local folklore claimed that Martha was a former brothel madam who died after being pushed down the building's stairs, leaving behind a legacy of phantom footsteps, sudden cold chills, and kitchen objects that moved on their own. Past employees also claimed that the spectral apparition of a phantom bartender would occasionally manifest on the facility's security cameras overnight.
