Visitors and investigators report unexplained banging, footsteps, moans, screams and other activity throughout Chambersburg's historic Old Jail.
The historic Franklin County jail served Chambersburg for more than a century and held numerous prisoners during its long history. Paranormal stories associated with the stone building include unexplained banging, doors moving, footsteps, moans, screams and shadowy figures. The Franklin County Historical Society has also hosted paranormal investigations at the property.
