Reported Haunting
One of Tokyo's best-known haunted tunnels, particularly associated with sightings of a woman in white and other unexplained figures and sounds.
The former Fukiage Tunnel lies on the old road through Fukiage Pass in Ome. After the route was superseded, the older tunnel became a popular Japanese ghost-story location. The most persistent legend describes a woman in white appearing in or near the tunnel, with additional reports of voices and other apparitions.
