Reported Haunting
The Old Idaho Penitentiary housed inmates for more than a century before closing in 1973. Visitors have reported phantom prisoners, mysterious voices, slamming cell doors, shadow figures, and unexplained activity throughout the prison complex. It is one of Idaho's best-known haunted historic sites.
