Old Montana Prison housed inmates in Deer Lodge for more than a century and witnessed riots, escapes, and executions. Visitors have reported phantom prisoners, mysterious voices, unexplained footsteps, slamming cell doors, and shadow figures throughout the prison. It remains one of Montana's most famous haunted attractions.
